Unspoken

I spoke no sorrow, yet you heard,
clearing skies without a word.

I never shook—your steady grace
held my storms in safe embrace.

Crowds cheered loud; I needed none—
your quiet smile outshone the sun.

“I love you” never left my lips,
but lingered in each look, eclipse.

I didn’t dream you into sight—
you’ve always been my heart, my light.
